What is The Pulse?
Pulsed Electrical Magnetic Fields energizes the equine body through enhanced oxygenation and circulation, thereby dramatically improving athletic performance and improved recovery time from a variety of equine injuries.
How does it work?
The Pulse generates wave-like charges that influence cell behavior by inducing electrical changes around and within the cell. Improved blood supply increases oxygenation. Improved calcium transport increases absorption of calcium into the bones and improve the quality of cartilage in the joints, decreasing the pain. The applications of the Pulsed Electrical Magnetic Fields is based on more than 40 years of scientific research in both Europe and the United States. Assuming that the horse is on a good nutritional program, with a solid deworming schedule, The Pulse has been shown to be effective in relieving a variety of discomforts and achieving and maintaining good health.
How long does a session take?
A normal horse session takes around an hour. For horses with issues we sometimes go longer. It depends on each individual horse.
When will the results of The Pulse session be seen or felt?
I have found this varies with each horse. Some horses show huge improvements in their gaits right after right after a session, and on others the improvement is the following day. I like to have the horses well hydrated and mineralized before a session. One can make them a warm soupy grass hay pellet mash right before their session.
How long will the results last?
Results can last a day or weeks, depending on the problem and the horse. In a performance needed situation we like to do 2 sessions per week prior to the event. Although it does vary with each horse and the horse will tell us through their enhanced movements how much they want. Some horses only need it once every 2-3 weeks. Again, I have found it varies and we work with and watch the changes in the horse and its movements. As an equine massage therapist, I have found the results of The Pulse to be quite amazing and it goes so much deeper than massage can.
If the problem is just one area, why do the whole horse?
By increasing the blood oxygen in the whole body the sensitive area continues to be helped as super oxygenated blood from the rest of the body continues to flow through the problem area.
Is The Pulse the same as other magnetic therapies?
This is the question I asked. I tried many different units before purchasing The Pulse. Other units are similar, yet the difference is in the delivery method and power. The higher power of The Pulse is very obvious in the outcome of the sessions. The measured magnetic energy produced by The Pulse is 19.200 Gauss — 1.92 Tesla. Other units are around 100-300 Gauss. That is a huge difference! And a difference that is obvious to see. I have personally experienced this large gap in other units and the large gap in the results.
What is the cost per session?
