Kids One-Day Horse & Art Camp

Open to kids ages 8-11. Limit of 5 children.
Horseback riding, painting, and walks in the woods.
This is a great chance for kids to learn about horses. As well as horseback riding lessons, the program includes hands-on-experience brushing and saddling a horse. Debra's 18-year old Tennessee Walker, Magic, will be the schoolmaster lesson horse.
Magic is experienced with kids and as a teacher for balanced riding and horse companionship. The Magic Center features spacious indoor and outdoor arenas, so we can ride in any weather!
As well as spending the day with horses, this one-day camp is an opportunity for painting. Debra was a professional artist for 27 years and taught with Artists in Education for 4 years in the Portland Public School District. The focus is on creativity, positivity, and having fun!
What to bring
- Painting smock
- Riding helmet (bicycle helmets are fine)
- Boots for riding (should have a heel)
- Lunch and beverage
- Weather appropriate clothing
